It lies just to the north of popular White Beach on Boracay Island but we can confidently say that at least two beaches here are more stunning than that white-sand wonder. Charo is a PADI Open Water Scuba and Specialty Instructor and a PADI TEC Rec Diver, ensuring that our team is well-prepared to handle any situation with the highest level of expertise and care. That was the end of the Romblon Island hopping tour for us but we did have the option to shoot over to Bonbon Beach if we wanted to. We had already been as it’s accessible from Romblon Island mainland but it’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been yet as it is rated the #1 beach in the region. Our boat docked at a small beach and there was a bit of a rock wall and some cliffs. After jumping out of the boat we climbed through a small arch and into a bit of a lagoon. We then headed through a cave, which opened up into a tiny lagoon or ‘Hidden Sea’.

It’s the most famous spot in town and you can actually reach this from the mainland. The third stop was Logbon Island (also called Lugbung), which is just 20 minutes away from Romblon Island. The population of Alad grew from 1,818 in 1990 to 2,067 in 2020, an increase of 249 people over the course of 30 years. The latest census figures in 2020 denote a positive growth rate of 2.30%, or an increase of 212 people, from the previous population of 1,855 in 2015.
