Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort is situated on Alad Island, a mere 10-minute drive from the Provincial Capitol of Romblon, Romblon Tablas. The pristine waters surrounding the island are teeming with a stunningly beautiful house reef, which is sure to take your breath away. These natural wonders create an idyllic atmosphere of peace and tranquility, making Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort a veritable paradise on earth. Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort is located on Alad Island, Romblon, just a 10-minute boat ride away from Romblon, the provincial capital. The resort is operated by German national Ronny Oliwka and his wife Charolyn Oliwka. Ronny is a PADI Master Instructor, PADI Tec Deep Instructor, PADI EFR Instructor Trainer and IANTD Tec Cave Diver.

I was sad to see the development going on in the island. You really wish places like these would stay as raw as possible. Since I was traveling solo, the fee felt a bit steep, but when I’m in remote destinations and activities are within my budget, I try not to haggle for discounts. You can save by going in a group so you have someone to split costs with. Resorts can refer guests for boat tours or you can simply go to the wharf in the port area and ask around.

There were no other tourists, so it felt really special. I immediately took a dip at the beach which had a gradually sloping sea bed. I’d have been happy to stay there all morning, but there were two other islands left to visit.

Alad is an island in the Philippines under the jurisdiction of Romblon in the province of Romblon. The Philippine third-class municipality of Romblon is located on Alad and on Romblon, Cobrador, and Logbon Islands. Our last stop was Bonbon Beach, which seemed just like icing on the cake.
